TOP OF THE WORLD FEELING

It was an unforgettable trip for the CNL-S’pore’s mission team to South Asia! From the mountains to the valleys via aeroplane, train, van, taxi, tuk-tuk, rickshaw and foot, the team has taken them all. Our missionary, J took the team from the capital city all the way to the west, where the road literally ends. They were on a mission to visit and bless our daughter churches in the remote areas of South Asia.

Because most of the works are located outside of the capital, the team had to endure hours of long, windy and very bumpy road rides to get there. Although there is always the sweet alternative of taking the domestic flight to get there, everyone agrees that going by road is next to the “real-thing” in experiencing what it is like for J to travel to and from the village works at least twice a month.

The foursome together with J and a local pastor-partner, preached, taught, prayed and ministered to believers in 3 regions. It was certainly an eye-opener and a very humbling experience to learn that believers walk 3 hours just to get to the meetings. At CNL-Nr, believers waited 7 hours for the team to arrive. Apparently, they were delayed by a mountain landslide along the way.

The spiritual hunger of the believers for the Word of God and pastoral visits is so strong that one cannot possibly ignore. We have to DO SOMETHING. You decide.
