Jesus said to them: It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; but you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.
The year is coming to a close and it has been a bumpy ride for many of us. Still, we can give thanks and praise God, for we do not fail to experience His faithfulness and goodness for our lives. Since the formation of the new government this year, this nation is slowly standing on its own feet. The task of nation building is huge and there is a lot for the government to do to prove themselves to the general populace. This nation continues to need your prayers.
On the spiritual front it has been another great year for us! With the Lord’s unfailing help and through your faithful support, we were able to make great strides in our spiritual work. Join us in praise and rejoicing as we count His blessings for this year:
CHURCH PLANTING WORKS
Praise the Lord for 20 new churches that were planted this year in remote villages. Since the establishment of our training centre in 2001, a total of 76 churches have been started and established to date. Most of them remain strong and vibrant in reaching their communities for Christ.
CHURCH PLANTING TRAINING
We conducted our 12th training course and saw the graduation of all 17 trainees. 10 of these graduates were selected and commissioned in November to plant new churches in their own respective villages. Please pray for these new works. To date, 152 trainees have completed and graduated from our 3-month in-house training school.
CHURCH LAND & BUILDINGS
This year 4 plots of land were purchased for some of the growing church works. To date, 23 pieces of land have been acquired to help establish the growing churches. 4 churches were able to complete their church building construction this year which brings a total of 19 churches having a permanent place of worship with the potential to grow and house a 200-strong congregation.
NEW MISSIONS CENTRE
It’s finally taking shape in brick and mortar from the drawing plans. Through your supportive and generous giving, the Lord is fulfilling His word to complete our new centre building by the end of this year. The next stage is to set up the centre for operations. Let’s pray and continue in this faith journey with Him!
By God’s grace, C and I have never once looked back since the day we gave our lives to serve the Lord fully. We want you to know it is your committed friendship and faithful support that have kept us going in the field over the last 10 years. There will never be enough thank-you’s for your loving prayers and sacrificial giving in empowering us for the Lord’s ministry. C and I are truly grateful and thankful to God for you!
Whatever the year has been, let’s anticipate the New Year with much hope from taking heed of Apostle Paul’s timeless exhortation:
…but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
