Special feature on CNL-Ormoc. Ps Jasmin Collado, the pastor of the newest work, shares her update with us. She was sent by Dennis to Ormoc to take over the pioneering work from 2 staff workers who left the ministry.

Firstly, thank God for His faithfulness. His hands never fail to be upon us and His sweet presence never leaves us. Although it is hard work, I do not regret my final decision to be sent to CNL-Ormoc. Before I went to Ormoc, I humbly told God, "Father, I do not want to have any of my own agenda or plan but Yours. I do not know what to do and what to expect there. Just use me in anyway so that I can be an encouragement to Your people." The Lord really opened my eyes and enlarged my heart for the ministry – especially in loving the people.

CNL-Ormoc celebrated her 2nd Anniversary on 12th Oct, 2003 and God really did a work in the lives of the new converts who attended the celebration. Their hearts were so opened to God that we were invited to visit them in their homes and also to start Bible Study Caregroups. We hope to disciple them so that they can be rooted in the Word of God.

He also directed us to start to minister to the people holistically. He opened our eyes to see the physical needs of these people. We did a special survey and interview in the community and are presently helping 2 families get their basic needs. Please pray that God will provide the resources.

Another area that God showed His favour was in providing a bigger place for our Sunday Services. Because the place we were worshipping in was small, we asked for a bigger place. After a few months, God provided the new place just in time for our 2nd Anniversary Celebration. How awesome is our God! He knows our every need.

The Lord has done so much in touching and changing lives. He led an entire group of college students to Himself through one willing believer, and now we have a college students caregroup ministry running.

All glory to Him, indeed! Please continue to pray along with us that more will make a difference for Christ.

PRAYER REQUESTS

1. CNL-Ormoc - Pray for the discipleship progress for the new believers, that they will become tomorrow’s committed leaders.
2. CNL-Ormoc - As the number of believers increase, we need a portable microphone (with stand) for our Sunday Services so that everyone can hear clearly.
3. CNL-Calbayog - Pray that the believers will be able raise the balance S$8,000 to complete the construction of the church building.
4. CNL-Tacloban - Pray for a committed and passionate local pastor for the church.
5. Training School - Pray that we will be able to be more devoted to the training of our students. We hope to plant at least 2 churches a year, starting from next year.
6. Our Family - The work load here is increasing. Pray for strength, health and wisdom.
