The rebels are tightening their grip in the remote villages. Travel outside of the capital is difficult and not so safe. However as much as I could, I still venture outside to visit our outstation works. Often I am encouraged by the resilient faith of our believers living in such difficult times. The Lord is our only safe and solid refuge.
March 19th saw the graduation of our 6th batch of church planting trainees. It is confirmed that one new work will start in April. Also from this batch, three to four new works are in the pipeline. Lately, God began to show me the significance of our training centre and the urgency to train more workers and start new works in remote villages.
More than half of our present 15 churches are planted in remote areas where it was once free and accessible. Today, this is not possible. For example, Sultana Church was started four years ago before the rebels gained a foothold. Today, rebels control the area and our pastor is required to seek permission from the rebel leader to hold evangelistic meetings and outreaches. There were also plans to branch out a new work in this area but we have to put that on hold. It is therefore vital and strategic for the church to first enter and set up a beachhead before the enemy does!
The demand for our church-planting course has been overwhelming. For the coming 7th training course in August, we have already received 21 applications even though we can only accommodate 10!

To establish 200 vibrant churches in 20 years in the Himalayan regions where there is no church.
Goal 200/2 –
To have 200 believers in 2 years for each church planted.
Pray that at least 10 new works would be planted this year. Pray for our follow up support in helping each church to meet its Goal 200/2.
Himalayan Hope Orphanage -
The home is in the process of registration as a local NGO. Ask for God’s favor and help. Pray for the new children joining the home. This time girls will be included. Pray for good house parents, helpers and coworkers to work with C.
Pastors Conference Apr 19 – 21 –
Our meeting had to be postponed. Pray that it will take place this time. Ask the Lord for a strengthening of His Spirit as all the pastors from our outstation works gather together for a time of retraining and reporting.
