New Vision 200/20
J & C,
SOUTH ASIA
The way God’s economy operates is indeed different from the world. While the nations civil situation is breaking down, it is reported that many people are turning to the church for answers countrywide especially in the villages. Each week we are seeing new families coming to our outstation works seeking for peace and hope. Preaching Christ is still considered an offence and one caught baptizing a convert could face up to six years' jail term. But for the time being the church is largely left alone. The police are distracted by the current political upheavals.
It is just hard to know and decide what to pray for at the moment. In some ways we are reluctant for the situation to improve for it might hinder the harvest of souls the churches are experiencing now. However one thing is definite: the time is right for harvest. We must seize every opportunity and make every effort to bring in the harvests. The time is now! Pray for us that we are found faithful and diligent in the work of the Lord.
C and I are now in our 40′s and we have decided to give our best in the years remaining for the Lord service. By His grace, the Lord gave me a fresh vision and a courageous goal for our Harvest Centre and church planting ministry.
Vision 200/20
To establish 200 vibrant churches within 20 years, in the Himalayan region where there is no known church.Goal 200/2
To have 200 believers in 2 years for each church planted.- Establishing our Harvest Centre as a training base and sending agency for church planting works in remote areas.
- Partnering with local churches in sending and supporting workers to start and plant new churches.
- Linking up with the Church world-wide for active involvement and support in the Great Commission of Christ for the Himalayan region.
As for C, the Lord is also preparing her heart for a 100 children orphanage home. Both of us are always thankful to God and grateful for CNL. There is no doubt the fruit of our ministry in South Asia is the result of all your fervent prayers and faithful support. To fulfill the next level of ministry God intends for us, we recognize we cannot do it alone.
Therefore as the Lord leads and directs us, we entreat you to stand with us. In whatever ways possible, move with us in faith to embrace His future plan for our lives and ministry. Lets serve His purpose for the advancement of His Kingdom together!
Lastly, a BIG THANK YOU for extending a warm welcome to our coworkers; Ps NP and Ps Suman. Thank you for your generous giving. The pastors expressed that their time in Singapore was both spirit and life enriching. The experience would last in their memory for a long time. I am also grateful to CNL for providing us the timely and invaluable LTI training. We are now equipped to raise quality leaders for quality works in the Himalayas!
