New Chapter. New Challenges

Eastern Visayas, Philippines

2006 will be an exciting year for everyone! It will be a new chapter of moving into unchartered waters. Dennis and Daisy have decided to take time out from the mission field for sabbatical studies and rest. Their last day with us will be on the 31 March 2006. After that, they will be preparing for their homecoming sometime this year. Upon their return to Singapore, they are free to choose between serving with CNL as staff on sabbatical studies or to seek part-time secular employment. Whatever their decision, we will assist them during their time of re-entry and adjustment.

Dennis and Daisy have laboured faithfully at their post in Tacloban since 1997 (Daisy went over to join Dennis in 1999 after their marriage) and have planted 9 churches to-date. It is a remarkable journey of faith and works, coupled with the miraculous and the mundane.

New Life Missions believes in planting self-governing churches – churches that are led by local pastors and Dennis & Daisy have done a tremendous job in raising up faithful and committed leaders for the task. 2006 is a year when this new team of leaders will soar to new possibilities under the support and supervision of CNL.

There will be frequent mission trips to Philippines this year, so gear up for a year of greater missions synergy between our extended family of NLCM and us. There is still much land to possess, so stand with us!

THE SAME PEOPLE BUT WITH A DIFFERENCE
Our extended family and staff of New Life Christian Mission are preparing to enter into a greater inheritance and significance this year

Prayer Pointers

  • God’s favour and guidance over Dennis & Daisy as they take time out from the mission field for sabbatical leave. As they soak in studies and rest, pray for their re-entry back into Singapore and for Daniel’s preparation for school.
  • Smooth and successful handing over of the works. That the new leadership will bring the church to greater heights.
  • Missions Hub in San Miguel. Pray for the land ownership paper work to be completed and issued at the government office.
