Kids from Children’s Church
Lately, I was challenged in the way I live my life. A Sri Lankan minister was speaking in a local assembly. He pointed out that in six South Asian countries there are over 200 million people that need Christ. He said Christians from the West have done their part in world evangelisation. Now it was time for South Asian churches to raise and send their own missionaries. Coming from a poor economic country himself, he clearly identified and understood the hardships of local churches here. But he made us see heaven. Firstly, there will be no work of evangelism in heaven. Secondly, none of us can bring our silver and gold to heaven. With that, he challenged God’s people to give sacrificially of their lives and possessions to fulfill God’s saving mission for the world. May God’s love and compassion awaken our spirits for the lost world!
“For you brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it” wrote the apostle Paul to Timothy, his disciple (1 Tim 6:7). At the end of the day, what counts is not what we have (be it little or much) but what we DO with God’s blessings put in our hands.
PRAYER POINTERS
1. Outstation Churches
- CNL-Be has grown to 100+ believers with 70 water baptised. Praise the Lord! It’s time to buy land and build our own building. Ask the Lord to provide.
- CNL-Nr is branching out a new work in the near future. Pray for potential worker.
- CNL-Kr is slowly progressing in the midst of political strife in the hills.
- CNL-Bg needs spiritual breakthrough and new strategy to grow the work.
- The Lord’s constant hand of protection and blessings upon the pastors and their families as they faithfully care for their members.
2. C’s weekly children’s church
The weekly teachings would help the children to grow and have faith in God as they face life’s challenges daily. Pray for spiritual & numerical growth.
3. Bible School
The 1st course commences on the 1st week of August with a handful of selected trainees. Ask the Lord of the Harvest to send the workers into the field after the training. Ask that their daily needs would be met and provided for.
4. Orphanage
Ask the Lord for love and wisdom in teaching and raising up the kids for His glory. Pray for a few more kids to be added this year.
5. Business
We have been granted our 2nd year of visa. Praise the Lord! Pray that the business would remain viable and grow.
