God's Power & Glory

PHILIPPINES

Thank you for your precious prayers! Our God is awesome and nothing is impossible for Him. God has brought changes into our 2003 ministry. It has been almost a year since we came back to Tacloban with baby Daniel. In the beginning, ministry was difficult due to the reshuffling of pastors in our three churches. Not to mention, the new challenge to minister with a baby by your side. One month ago, God impressed upon me during my devotion time with Matthew 25:31-46.

“And the King will answer and say to them, `Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”

SHARING THE BLESSING

Members brought what little they had to be shared amongst the poor

As I shared this message to the church and encouraged the congregation to do something, everyone began to contribute to the poorer families by giving grocery, clothings, etc. Survey teams even volunteerily went out to different villages to find out about their needs. A week later, God spoke to me to change the name of our usual prayer meetings to "POWER & GLORY SERVICE". It was to be a place and time where the sick can receive healing, the bonded can be set free and the poor can be ministered to. In obedience to God, our original prayer meeting was changed to an open evangelistic session. During our P&G services, God’s presence was so strong in our midst, some visitors received healing instantly!

BAPTISM CANDIDATES

Many people who came for the meetings began to bring their neighbours along. About 15 new families attended one of our P&G service. Eight persons from these families were later water baptized on May 1 -Labour Day!

We have settled down in a smaller apartment near the church. The neighbours here are friendly and 2 of them came to our Easter service. Pray with us that they will surrender their lives to Jesus soon.

Daniel has more friends now. He is 13+ months now and is able to walk. During praise and worship, he would clap his hands and say "Hallelujah". We pray that he will be a true worshipper when he grows up. Please continue to intercede for us – pray for protection from SARS and for the Bible school. God Bless You Abundantly.
