It’s another year of God’s faithfulness and favour over New Life Christian Mission (NLCM) and we celebrate it with much gratitude at our 11th anniversary service. Having been a part of the pioneering team, it’s hard to believe that I’m still here! At the end of the day, I know it is God who brought me thus far to minister to His people in this faith venture. The anniversary celebration also saw many people coming to know Christ as their Lord and Saviour of their lives. Praise God!
We organised a youth camp in May with Ps Francis and his team from Centre of New Life being our guest speakers and trainers. Many young people from all our outstation churches attended and were very blessed and empowered by it. Many shared it helped them in their spiritual walk with God. Here are some of their comments:
“I know the Lord through this youth camp as my personal Saviour. He came to save me, my life belongs to Him and I want to glorify Him with the talent that He gave me. I’m now involved in the music ministry and I worship God with the drums. Glory to God!” (Jefrey)
“I was so amazed by the move of God during the youth camp. This was my first time attending this kind of camp. I felt the touch of God in my life and since then I feel very different inside of me. When pastor prayed for me, I knew in my heart that there was a big change in me.” (Giselle)

“I had a great experience during the camp – God touched and changed my life. I know deep in my heart that He’s totally transformed me into a better person.” (Jen)
“The camp was very good. While I was in prison I’ve already accepted Jesus. Only when I attended the camp did I know He’s real! When I saw people crying, I also asked Jesus to touch my heart. It was a touching experience and I gave my life to Jesus. Working as a bakery helper, I can’t go to church on Sundays because my boss wants me to work. But this will not stop me from reading my bible and praying everyday. Thank you.” (Joel)
Thank God for His present and active involvement in NLCM, especially in our outstation churches. Servantes Church, our newest work in Samar, is now planning to build their own church building. We know that God desires to establish and build His kingdom in that city. Please join us in prayer for God’s provision to be supplied.
Our new outreach point in Apitong is growing. More and more people are coming for our Sunday services. I really thank God for his ample provision for our feeding program in that place. For 3 months, God sent people to support us financially and logistically for this Christ-centered social work. All glory to God.
Ps Jason and Bro Dieu came to conduct Million Leaders’ Mandate (MLM) Seminar 4 in 13–18 August. Since starting this series of MLM seminars in 2005 for all our outstation pastors, we have learnt many valuable lessons and we look forward to it every year. All said that they were blessed and touched by it. As the topics were very relevant to us serving as pastors in the ministry, it has given us more courage to go on with the vision and dreams that God gave to NLCM. This seminar has effectively reminded us of God’s given vision and promise for the ministry. After this seminar, I have a renewed burden to start at least one annual outreach here in Leyte.
