No matter how good life is there’s always a challenge to meet and no matter how bad life is, there’s always something good to thank God for. Every crisis is a call to greatness and every obstacle is an opportunity for miracles. With God all things are possible. He desires His people proclaim the Good News to all men in good economic times as well as in bad times! Pray with us for open doors and wisdom as we plan to start a new work in Baybay City.
We had a 3-day seminar in Tacloban Church on March 17-19 for all our outstation pastors and workers. The focus was on understanding the church, how to build vision and implement missions. We were encouraged to re-evaluate the vision of each local church and I praise and thank God for sending us pastors who were willing to give their time to teach us – Ps Lito and Ps Kenny from Manila (friends of Ps Jason Ngan). God never fails, God never quits, God never ends anything on a negative. God is faithful.
#5 CATARMAN CHURCH
Catarman Church celebrated her 5th anniversary on March 29. Praise God that He continuously blesses His work here. Ps Luc praises God for empowering them to start Servantes Church which is 20 kilometres away from the town. It is their constant prayer and desire that God will bless and guide them to fulfil the vision of building more churches and bringing more souls into God’s kingdom.
#6 BORONGAN CHURCH
Last month, Ps Samuel faced a big trial. One of their members’ son was hit by a tricycle and the doctor said he needed an operation. The parents of the boy didn’t know what to do and they came to Ps Samuel for help. So the church prayed for him. God really worked in a miraculous way because the boy was suddenly healed completely and even the doctor was amazed at what happened!
The doctor then concluded that there was no need for him to conduct any operation. Praise God! He is the God that heals. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ will be preached in the whole of Borongan City and every part of it. Please pray for God’s guidance and direction for the work here.
#10 TANUAUN CHURCH
God is moving and pouring out His grace upon Tanauan Church. There is not only an increase in cell group attendance, there are also more people coming to church on Sundays. Ps Ricardo believes that God is sending more potential leaders to the church so as to establish and strengthen it. God also opened more doors for them to start cell groups in other villages of Tanauan City.
Their prayer is to have at least one cell group in every one of the 54 villages of Tanauan. Faithfulness in little things is the first step towards attempting and accomplishing greater things for God. Pray along with them that God’s Word be preached to everyone in Tanuaun.
#11 SAN MIGUEL CHURCH
3 to 4 families are now attending a new bible study group Ps Jascinta opened in one of the villages here. The church holds an evangelistic film show every last Friday of the month. Praise the Lord that many people heard the gospel of Christ and responded to salvation. Pray that leaders will be raised up and be a harvest force for God’s kingdom.
Fellowship Center will be completed by May 09. Please pray for its smooth construction and completion.
#13 SERVANTES CHURCH
Praise God for the newly erected church! We are very thankful to Him for answering our prayers and the financial support from our members who gave their heartfelt contribution in the ministry especially in the construction of the building. Although it is only 80% completed, our members are happy to have the simple structure and we are able to use this new place for our Sunday worship service. Bible study groups are in place and church membership is growing steadily. We pray that more souls will be added everyday as we work towards the completion of God’s house.
Servantes Chuch building project is now 80% completed with the roof up. Although the walls and flooring are not done yet, members have already begun to use it for their weekly Sunday services and Bible study classes.
