Just want to SHOUT – “HALLELUJAH! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!”
As I was preparing for my Sunday sermon on Deuteronomy 32:9-14 with an analogy of the process of eaglets learning to fly, I began to realise how God blessed Israel and delivered them from all persecution they faced. I was encouraged and knew that God is teaching us everyday to soar like an eagle!
The new work in Ormoc is beginning to go through the process of soaring. We have much joy in seeing families coming to repentance like the two families in Tambulilid village. This gives us much encouragement and more creativity to teach and nurture them.
After the departure of CNL- S’pore teams, they had left a good number of youths with CNL-Ormoc! God has also provided a young man to help us in discipling the guys. Pray for more God fearing leaders to be raised up for Ormoc church.
Pray also for the two families we are concentrating on, that they will have closely knit relationship with one another. Through them we will be able to impact the whole village for Christ. Pray for Pastor Sarah and Lotchelle for good health, too.
As for ourselves, we are doing fine. We are excited to be daddy and mommy soon. Our theme for our churches this year is “Enlarging Our Tents”. God has not only enlarged our Ministry’s Tent, He has also enlarged my own tent! : )
Daisy will be going back to Singapore in December. For me? I wish to go back soon too, so as not to miss out on the kicking of our baby and at the same time to be there for her, but on the other hand I’m also concerned of the new work that we will be starting next year. Please pray with us for Daisy and baby to be in good health and for an easy delivery. Pray for me for wisdom to be able to hear from God as to the best time to to return to Singapore.
For the new work, we are planning to start a kindergarten in San Miguel (about 1 hour from Tacloban) by June 2002. We are now scouting for land. We will be challenging the congregation to give towards this project. We need to raise about P200,000 (P100,000 for the land and P100,000 for the building). This will be a good model for winning more souls and saving on expenses in the long run. Pray also for more teachers to join us. Presently, we have only one committed teacher – sis Jacinta. Pray for God’s provision for the land, finances, honest builders & carpenters for the building. Last but not least, leaders for this ministry. God bless!
