We have been granted another year of visa in the country. Praise the Lord for keeping the door open for us to serve Him in this needy land. Join us in knocking on Heaven?s door for the success of the peace talks that is taking place between the rebels and the government. The security situation remains volatile. There remains much to be done in the Kingdom?s work here. Therefore we are not prepared to leave as yet.
CNL-Nr has identified a potential area to start a new work. There is a large Unreached People Group (UPG) of low-caste Tharus waiting to hear the Gospel of Christ. As for CNL-Be, our believers consists mainly of Western Mags, also a UPG. Now over 200 of them have put their hope in Christ in this church alone! New families are joining CNL-Bg. We may have to enlarge our church building in the near future. Praise the Lord for these growths! Continue to pray that these churches will not exist for themselves but break forth beyond their comfort zones and reach out to many more for Christ in their areas.
Harvest Mission Centre’s third batch of students will start in August with 10 confirmed students. Recently, one more appeared at our doorstep! He heard of our training and was very eager to join. He came a long way from the Eastern region. It would be heartless to turn him away and so now we need to add one more bed, chair and table to our centre! Praise the Lord for keeping our training in demand. Pray for the trainers that we would not only pass on knowledge but also impart our life and passion for Christ and His Kingdom?s work on these 11 students. We operate Harvest Mission Centre by faith. Do ask the Lord to provide sufficiently for the food and training materials for each student during their two months’ stay in the centre.
In June, the Lord added two more boys to our Home of Refuge. Nine year-old Luke lived with his neighbor for sometime after his mother committed suicide after his father left for another woman. Luke told us his mother took poison and died. The neighbor could no longer afford to feed Luke and so he was referred to our home. Joseph, a six year-old boy was brought to our home a few days after Luke came. Joseph was looked after by his grandfather after the parents went separate ways. Joseph remembers being locked in the room all by himself when grandpa goes out to work in the fields. Now grandpa is too old to care for Joseph. Since coming to our home, Joseph joins Daniel, Jacob and Paul in going to school everyday. Joseph attends nursery class. As for Luke, C decided on personal coaching before putting him in primary one class next year. Please keep each of the five boys, C and Sarah, our co-worker, in your prayers regularly.
We would like to end with "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work" said the Lord (John 4:34). To share in the Lord?s food is truly the most fulfilling, rewarding and satisfying work one can ever partake. For this, C and I are always grateful to God for CNL of your unfailing support for us in our ministry here. Our prayer is that you, too will desire Father?s food in order to taste His goodness.
