It has been 10 years and I am amazed and thankful that God has enabled us to stand firm fruitfully and faithfully. I still find it hard to believe that it has been 10 years! He has done so many things in our lives within these years and He sustains us by His strength and grace. In my ups and downs I witnessed how He preserved and strengthened us to remain in the ministry until today.
Last month, 26 August, we celebrated Tacloban Church’s 10th anniversary. As we did the preparations leading up to the special Sunday service, I was reminded of God’s goodness and faithfulness in this community for the past years. During the celebration, Ps Jason Ngan shared the word and 5 people accepted the Lord with many more responding to the altar call. The Holy Spirit is indeed moving powerfully in our midst.
Ps Francis Chen and his missions team from CNL visited us in July and they were a great encouragement to all of us. During their 7-day stay, they conducted leaders’ seminars and workshops on the topic of freedom, which God used as an occasion to release people from their bondages. They also assisted us in conducting evangelistic services over 2 nights where more than 10 people accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Some people received spiritual restoration and experienced breakthrough in their lives. On Sunday, after the morning church service, we conducted a water baptism service in the afternoon for 8 believers at the beach.
Tanauan Church building is almost completed. Ps Ricardo and his members are already using it for Sunday services. Thank God for His providence.
I also made a trip to Borongan Church, to support Ps Samuel and his members in their outdoor outreach event for the neighboring villages. Through the film show and message, many adults and children gave their lives to God. Praise the Lord and thank you, CNL for your continuous prayers and support.
