What Are We Saving Up For?

Are we saving up for that latest handphone, that holiday, that house? We tend to confuse “wants” with “needs.” Wealth is really not measured by how much one has in life but by how little one needs to live.

(Henry D. Thoreau)

“Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, & laziness, while the poor & needy suffered outside her door.” (Eze 16:49) The sin of ignoring the cries of the needy exceeds that of immorality. Truly, the mission field requires our continual support. The Gospel needs to be proclaimed, churches planted & pastors cared for.
