Heartbeat of God

Missions is God’s heartbeat and Called To Missions Church (CTM Church) desires to live up her name. We’re saved for and called to missions!

As early as March 2015, CTM Church has been planning for a missions trip to Thailand in November 2015. After much prayer and preparation, the trip finally took place from 17 to 21 November. Looking back at the past 6 months – from encouraging the congregation to sign up to turning down applicants, from initial preparation to actual execution, from just the mission team’s involvement to garnering everyone’s participation, we are filled with gratitude to God for every step of the way.

The team consists of 9 members – 7 ladies and 2 men. All of them went through our pre-trip in-house missions training for skits, mime, testimonies and songs. Everyone went on the trip with a heart and goal to serve and bless the Church in Thailand. But the team ended up being blessed by them instead. It was truly God’s abundant grace at work.

There was one occasion where several team members had some disagreement with their room arrangement but they eventually accepted their team leader’s decision. We’re full of thanks to God for teaching them how to lead by example and to submit to authority when the situation calls for it. In addition, the mission trip broke many invisible walls and drew everyone closer as they lived, interacted and learnt together as a community. Doing life together really opened up their hearts to each other. Through this, two ladies resolved their year-long misunderstanding and have since reconciled. Our daily morning group devotion time played a big part in helping another member overcome her spiritual depression.

Last but certainly not the least is how God heard and answered the prayers of the team and allowed us to join in on His harvest. All of us, as children of God, were given a chance to respond to our Father’s love with all of our hearts and hands!
