New Home for CTM Church
We finally have a proper worship venue!
Looking back at the many happenings, we can only thank God for all that He has done, especially in providing apremise that can accommodate a sizeable group of people, office, classrooms, guests, a multi-purpose living spacefor ourselves as well as satisfy our design taste and layout ideal! Just when we thought it was impossible to findsuch a rentable space – even the property agent was at a loss, God stepped in and brought us to this perfect placethrough a security guard’s recommendation!
Our challenge didn’t stop here. We had to finish renovation works within 10 days. The entire process was a good testing ground for the church to serve one another through their time and finances. We also had help from friends and relatives in Singapore who pooled together some money to help with the setup and rental costs. It’s amazing how timely God provides because the funds came in right at the end of the renovation works. This whole episode testifies of God’s trustworthiness and miraculous and timely provision.
The first thing believers need to learn and put in practice is tithing. The mission of Called to Missions Church (CTM) is to plant new churches, and therefore it is imperative that we start right in the area of giving. We want to constantly encourage all to invest in missions and so far, many have joined in.
We also want to be concerned for and give towards the needs of the less privileged. We may be limited financially, but not in the area of displaying God’s love. There was once we gave a little boy with leukemia a token sum of money. He and her family were not Christians then and they lived very far away from us. Little did we expect that because of this act of love, his parents believed and all three started to come and are faithfully serving in church every week now. This is tangible love in action. “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” (Acts 16:31)
Thank you so much for keeping us in prayer and for your encouragement when we were back home. God bless you all!
