More People Need to Hear
The Hui speak Mandarin; although, in some locations, Persian and Arabic words have been added to their vocabulary…..By the middle of the seventh century, Arab and Persian traders and merchants traveled to East Asia in search of riches.
There are approximately 12.5 million Hui in East Asia and 30,000 of them call this city where I am in their home. Most of them are businessmen and shop owners. But there are also a handful of them who are school teachers, students in the universities or students studying Arabic in the Islamic seminaries. The Hui in my neighborhood are friendly, hospitable people who are also very proud of their faith. There is currently no known believing fellowship group amongst them in this city. Although they live among other people groups where there are Christians, none of these Christian groups are focused on reaching out to the Hui. For a start, I am committing myself to pray for them in addition to the groups I am currently discipling and training.
Please pray with me for:
- Workers to work amongst the Hui. They are open to people who come from parts of SE Asia and the Middle East, places where they know Islam is being practiced.
- Case studies have shown that many who have turned to believe in Christ did so either after reading the word of God or through dreams and visions. Ask for such revelations for the Hui that they may turn to believe.
- Ask for local Christians to reach out in love to the Hui
